SCHOOL UNIFORM AND EQUIPMENT
We expect all children to wear our sensible school uniform. Guildford Schools and Sport, London Road, Burpham (Tel: G 577835) are our main uniform suppliers, and the school sweatshirts and ties are only available from them. The remaining school uniform can be purchased at most high street stores.
Items marked with an * are ONLY available to purchase from the school
Winter Uniform
The winter uniform must be worn in the second half of the Autumn Term and the Spring Term
Girls/Boys
Pale blue long sleeved blouse/shirt and school tie
Grey pleated knee length skirt
Long Grey trousers
(KS1 have the option of a grey pinafore dress and navy cardigan.)
School sweatshirt
Grey socks
Knee length white socks, or navy or grey tights.
Black shoes (no trainers) For girls, Black shoes and no high heels. Heels should be no more than 4cms measuring from the inside part of the heel.
All outdoor coats should be plain black or navy
Summer Uniform
The summer uniform may only be worn in the Summer Term and the first half of the Autumn Term.
Girls - Navy blue Gingham check dress with Navy blue cardigan, or school sweatshirt, OR pale blue short sleeved blouse and school tie (no polo shirts) with grey pleated 'A' line skirt (skirts should be knee length or no more than 6cms above the knee) and school sweatshirt. White knee length socks or ankle socks (no trainer socks). Black shoes (no high heels or trainers) Heels should be no more than 4cms measuring from the inside part of the heel.
Boys - Pale blue short sleeved shirt and school tie (no polo shirts), Grey short or long trousers, school sweatshirt, Grey socks, Black shoes (no trainers)
PE Equipment
Ø Pale blue Polo (badged) shirt *
Ø Navy shorts *
Ø Black plimsolls
Ø Football boots or trainers for outdoor use (from year 2)
Ø Navy tracksuit bottoms (from year 2)
Ø Navy blue/white socks (KS2) *
Ø Draw stringed navy PE bag *
Ø An old shirt or paint shirt elasticated at the wrist for art.
Other equipment:
Ø For year 3 and above: Pencil case containing coloured pencils, writing pencils, pencil sharpener
Ø For year 3 and above: a manuscript handwriting pen (blue)
Ø For year 4 as above or a fountain pen (blue)
Ø Book Bag * or suitable school bag
Hairstyles - are expected to be sensible and not a distraction, therefore highlighted and coloured hair is not permitted. All long hair is to be tied back. Sensible hair accessories such as a hair band or scrunchie may be worn to keep hair tidy. These accessories must be navy or white. All hard hair bands must be removed during PE lessons.
Boys are expected to wear their hair short, and off the collar
Any "holiday" hair i.e. braids, or henna tattoos should be removed in time for the start of the new school term
Jewellery
No jewellery may be worn in school, with the exception of one set of small ear studs, a sensible watch and a crucifix worn inside the shirt. Any of these items if worn are the owner's responsibility and they must be removed during all PE lessons.
If girls wish to have their ears pierced, this should be done at the beginning of the Summer Holidays only, to allow the ears sufficient time to heal and for the girls to have the confidence to remove their ear studs for PE and swimming.
All uniform and equipment must be named. There is a Lost Property box however the school cannot be held responsible for loss or damage to personal property.
Second – hand uniform is available at the half-termly PTA sales.
